Could Curtis Brooks be the dark horse to make this Tennessee Titans roster?

Brooks is a former 6th round pick by the Indianapolis Colts last season. Coming out of Cincinnati he was built in the same mold as a Geno Atkins/ Ed Oliver type being hyper athletic for the position but also undersized.

He was also very consistent over the course of his collegiate career before breaking out his super senior year totaling 9 sacks. He did so while lining up all up in down the line from a 0, 1, 3, 4i, or a 5 tech.

I view Brooks as a Denico Autry backup and potential replacement once Autry decides to step away.

Curtis could however offer up as a potential rotational pass rusher on the interior as early as this season in my opinion.

This would leave the Titans carrying 4 IDL’s (with Denico as that hybrid edge role).

  1. Big Jefé
  2. TeAir Tart
  3. NaQuan Jones
  4. Curtis Brooks

This is certainly up for debate with Brooks battling for the spot with players like Jayden Peevy, Tyler Shelvin, Shakel Brown and Jaleel Johnson.

But I believe Brooks offers an upside that none of these others do.
